Kindergarten, 1 and 2 grade Tech benchmarks

I am interested in re-visitng technology benchmarks for the lower elementary. I am looking for ideas that are not limited to just vocabulary. If you have any websites or resources to share that would be great!

    Here are some ideas

We are looking at coming up with objectives for each grade level so that children across our dist. will learn the same skills in the same grades. Here is a starting point. We started out with benchmarks, but felt we needed to use something more like the classroom teachers - objectives or core competencies

    Kindergarten and 1st Grade
    • Put name on work
    • Open/close programs
    • Close windows
    • Click and drag (Puzzles)
    • Use pull down menu (print and goodies)

    2nd Grade
    • Save in correct folder with directions
    • Use draw tools (picture graph)
    • Introduce vocabulary terms (crossword on Internet)
    • Can accomplish same task in different programs
(Use draw tools in Kid pix and Claris)

    3rd Grade
    • Keyboard
    • Change size, font and justification of text
    • Perform spell check
    • Review vocabulary terms
    • Enter data into a spreadsheet and create a graph with directions
    • Present a multimedia project (Insect Kid Pix Slideshow)

    4th Grade
    • Present multimedia project (Mo. History Kid Pix Slideshow)
    • Review keyboarding
    • Technology vocabulary terms (80% mastery/100% advanced)
    • Can go to a given website / URL
    • Can cut and paste graphic or make text a graphic

    5th Grade
    • Create a database (computer lab journal)
    • Present a multimedia project (Powerpoint slide show)
    • Keyboard review
    • Organize data independently using a spreadsheet and creating a graph
