I write right on the glass with wet erase and dry erase markers. Same projector for four years and no damage at all. Good luck
Help! I need a place to purchase 8-1/2 by 11 plastic sheets to use on the overhead. I do not want the kind that you can use to make transparancies out of from typed or written material - just plain plastic sheets that you can write on with markers. I had a box of 1000 that I purchased a long time ago, but now I need more and my vendor is no longer in business.
I figured that the technology people would know more about this sort of thing than anyone else, although this is cave-man era technology.

Mark, I'm with you on this one. I had a roll on the projector 35 years ago. I finally took it off and I've been writing on the glass ever since. My blue hands are legendary. Other than that, no ill effects. However, sometimes I need to have some things prepared ahead of time.
I'm teaching an ACT prep class now, and I'd like to produce a lot of multiple choice questions that I can slap on the projector. That's why I was searching for a cheaper source of plastic overlays.
I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one writing directly on the glass. Thanks.
Hi. My Name is Lisa, and I am a Glass Writer
Some come to the Fountain of Knowledge to drink....others just to gargle....
I get my plain old sheets at Office Depot.
I like to write on the sheets because I can get the lessons done ahead of time. I write on them in permanent marker and use them from year to year if my lesson is good (they aren't all --- 90% rubbing alcohol will clean off the sharpie)

I got the plastic sheets at Staples or Office Depot too. I like them because I write with a permanent sharpie and use the eraseable markers to fill in info, over and over, for each class. Better yet the kids love to write on the overhead-encourage participation.
