    short cartoon clip instructional software?

    Hi,

Anyone know of some other really good software that teaches mini lessons on standards and benchmarks as well as fizz and martina, or science court?

    I'm sorry. I don't understand your question.

Are you looking for software that teaches about benchmarks and standards or software that teaches using these standards? If you're looking for software that uses these standards, what grade level are you looking for? What subject area are you talking about?

What do Fizz and Matina, (Math adventues grades 1-6) have to do with your question about benchmarks and standards?

For that matter, I don't understand why your subject heading asks about short cartoon clips. What do cartoons have to do with standards?

If I'm asking about other software like Fizz and Martina- which you mention that you are familiar with below- you can infer that I'm looking for software that teaches benchmarks and standards to the kids... not to me.

ummm... they teach concepts from standards and benchmarks?

seriously? You just made it clear above that you know what Fizz and Martina is, and yet you don't know what cartoon clips and those types of programs have in common?

Come on man. If you're intelligent enough to be a teacher, and you're going to respond to people's posts, please don't call into question everything they type. If you really don't understand something, it's probably just a good idea not to respond, as you most likely don't have anything to offer in that area. No offense intended but, you're either falling into the "I don't know anything about software that uses cartoon clips" category, or you've taken a disliking to me already, and are trying to antagonize me by making me spell out something that was already clear. Either way, your post was unnecessary. If you fall into the first category, you don't need to post. If you fall into the second, you can word your posts much more kindly.

Interesting response. Had you simply answered the question, you would have gotten a different response and everything would have been hunky-dory but since since you have chosen to play games ... fine ... let's play games.

Had you done a better job of phrasing your one sentence question, I wouldn't have asked for clarification.

As for your unexpectedly caustic response ... well ... I'll let you decide what your attitude has cost you.

Here's a hint just in case you're a bit slow on the uptake:

Has anyone else bothered responding to your post? Anyone at all? Why do you think that nobody has responded to you given the fact that nearly everyone else who posts questions gets a prompt and helpful response?

    Could it be:

    A) The other 5005 registered members of this forum are morons whose body weight exceed their IQs. Nobody else has your sheer dazzling breadth of intellect to even comprehend your initial question. You are an intellectual god.

    B) Your initial question was vaguely worded and your response to a request for clarification was exceptionally rude.

    C) The other members of this forum can't believe you didn't know the answer to such a simplistic question. Some of us have even printed it out and passed it around the faculty lounge for a good laugh.

Bottom line: A little courtesy costs nothing. What possible incentive would anyone have in wanting to help someone who appears to have checked his manners at the door? Do you think any of us like to have our replies taken apart and slammed dunked in our faces?

Given your attitude, I won't give you the time of day.

That's the pot calling the kettle black.

You just don't get it do you?

For someone who's in such an all-fired hurry to jump on other people and tell them what they're doing wrong, you don't seem to take any responsibility for your own behavior.

No matter. I'm done with you.

Actually, robertanke1, I did not respond to your initial post as it did not make much sense to me. To insult our intelligence will get you fewer serious responses to your initial request. I needed more information to understand what you were looking for.

David voiced what I did not post. Chances are there are more here who fall in my category. I am a reasonably intelligent person, yet need more information.

Your approach pushes me further away from trying to assist you.

Why don't you try reposting again with a little more information and without putting people down that are trying to understand exactly what you are looking for?
