For spelling and vocabulary, I have tried for years to make it fun and interesting. I even use to build online games so they could practice their words.

Simply, you enter words and then it reads them back to you for you to take a test. It seems to have all the words. And NO ROBOT VOICE! And sentences.
Lists can be saved by teachers. And there are spelling and vocabulary games.
