Stimulating Websites

Hi!

I really need some help. I have been look for a good education discussion board for a university assignment that I am doing and I think that I finally may have found on here. I have to be involved in a discussion about something.
As part of this assignment I also need to find stimulating educational websites suitable for teachers or students. I need to be able to evaluate them properly so having to pay for them can be rather tricky and well, impossible.
Please help if you can.

Hi, Christy!

The following are links that have activities for kids, and resources for parents and teachers.

Are these the types of links you are looking for?

Yes, thank you very much that should really help me a lot. It's really great discovering these discussion rooms, they might be really helpful in the future for other assignments and for when I eventually become a teacher.
Can anyone let me know any other great uses for these discussion sites as I am still really new at them.

Are you looking for sites for teachers or ones that the kids can go to and learn from?

Hi Christy.

Don't know what subject you teach but I find www.tki.org.nz really good. Particularly coming to terms with the curriculum in NZ and the whole NCEA thing. I use it alot to find more information about stuff or to get lesson plan ideas etc.

It's a little hard to navigate and it has a NZ focus but when it comes down to teaching practice I can't imagine that it is different elsewhere in the world.
