Teaching HTML

I am about to embark on a journey to teach my Year 13 students HTML. It is part of their design aspect of Media Studies.

What websites are most useful to direct students to? Are there any pre-made units out there that will end up with students making a 4 page website?

    Cheers.

Web Monkey for Kids is a good place to start. It does a really good job at presenting technical information.

    What is HTML?

W3C.org is the official site for the World Wide Web Consortium which attempts to govern all the web related standards. The latest html docs are here which can be a bit cumbersome but if you access them directly here http://www.w3.org/TR/html401 you can just click on "elements" or "attributes" at the top and get a listing of all the current elements and attributes. You can very quickly find an element and see how to use it. It's really just useful as a reference but a very good one. Hope that helps.

Year 13? Do you know what the equivalent would be in our country? What age range are in Year 13?
