I just received the new edition of Catalyst, a newsletter published by the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, who provided $250,000 to every public school district in Idaho for the purchase of hardware, software and training. According to an independent evaluation by the Buck Institute, commissioned by the Albertson Foundation, http://www.jkaf.org, student ITBS/TAP scores improved more than expected in schools where teachers have a high use of software and computers and where teachers were proficient in using technology, thus encouraging students technology use and proficiency.
