Sorry, I don't know of anything. There are some great tutorials out there, but not like Mavis Beacon.
I was wondering if there were any web based typing tutorials rather than software based like Mavis Beacon. Preferably they generate whole class reports and such so I can see who is progressing easily. I'm looking for free or a low fee subscription service. I'm thinking something similar to Study Island but for typing.

I'm thinking of having the first 10 minutes of class devoted to keyboarding kind of like doing journal writing for 10 minutes of class. That way the kids have something to do right away when they enter the lab and they practice keyboarding. What do you think? What other activities can students do right away in a computer lab like warm ups that don't require the teacher immediately?
