WikiSchool - Free Online e-Learning Site

I'm the owner of WikiSchool, and would like some user input (and help building it). WikiSchool is an open-source project designed to help parents, students, and teachers with schoolwork and teaching. Students can get help with their schoolwork, teachers can print off lessons and get ideas from lesson plans, and parents can help their kids learn by using guides posted on WikiSchool. It is an open environment, anyone can edit the pages (registered or not). But, WikiSchool is more of an idea than a real product right now. I'm looking for teachers (and anyone else) to help me out with the creation of WikiSchool. It's basically a Wikipedia dedicated to school related subjects and work. Any contributions help (except plagurized or copyrighted material). Using WikiSchool in a real environment is also a future feature that I'd like to see teachers do (ex: post an activity on WS and have students complete it). In any event, a good resource to teachers is WikiSchool's Lesson Plans area. Teachers can go here to post and get lesson plans. Other teachers can edit and add to your lesson plan to improve on it further, add links to external sites, etc.

So, visit the site and tell me what you think. Should more subjects be added? Should more specific subjects be added? All suggestions are welcome.

Oh yeah, and here's the link: http://www.wikischool.info/

[edit:] How come you guys have the vBulletin favicon?

So? This isn't an ad. Surely you're not that big of an *** you can't allow an open-source project try to build it's user base by telling teachers, half the focus of the site, about it.

All I did was ask for an opinion on my site and he jumps all over me like I'm a spammer, so yes I called him an ***.

Spiralfive,

Your logic is very interesting and strange... Just curious: do you really believe that someone who just joined the site and immediately tried to offend the site owner should still be welcomed here? I doubt it. By the way, nobody called you a spammer. We simply have a strict advertising policy which you were supposed to read before posting.

Nevertheless - my best wishes to you in your efforts to promote your site. But not in my place anymore. Next time, please read the site rules first.

Sincerely,
Lucy Vaysman

spiralfive, all Lucy did was post a link to our advertising rules and regs. The only one doing any jumping here is you.

Lucy, you are a bigger person than I am. I've got no desire to go look at the site now to offer any opinion whatsoever.

I agree with Bitsy. In my opinion, this thread needs to be removed and the poster banned.

As the site admin..... they have a right to do whatever they want, being rude isn't going to help anyone's case.
