Well, I'm on the elementary end; I don't really know anything about ECE. I'd sure be interested in hearing from people with Montessori experience, though!
Hi Everyone!!
I think I have come to the right place. I have applied to some schools for January start for ECE (with hopes of completing the program and continuing on to a Montessori course).
I am wondering if I could get some feedback on the profession as a whole? Do you enjoy it? How difficult is it to actually find a job? Do you find this profession rewarding? Why did you choose ECE compared to the other age brackets?
Thanks so much! I am pretty excited about my decision.
Is anyone here a Montessori teacher? I am also curious to learn about how people enjoy that?

How do you like the Elementary end?
I know that it is College that is required for ECE ....what about elementary?

In my state, you need a clear credential to teach elementary school. That's a BA + 30 units, several exams, and 2 terms of student teaching.
I've taught K - 6th grades. This year, 5th and 6th. I love the kids. I love the teaching. I'm less than enamored with current administration practices.
