I simply HAD to share this site, I came across it while looking up reading levels. To give a brief over view, the site gives a short list of books that take place in the 50 states, including the District of Columbia, along with including reading levels.

Judy Moody books take place in Pennsylvania, and in the first book she had to make a poster about herself and her little brother spilled some juice on her poster, and she just drew edges on the stain and during the presentation she said: this is the shape of our state and it is the place I live in.

Hoot and Flush by Carl Hiaasin take place in FL.

So does A Land Remembered.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn does not take place in Michigan (obviously - :lol: ) but otherwise it is a great site.
