I'm compiling a list of novels for young adult readers. I will break it up. into 7-8 (A), 9-10(B) and 11+(C). I plan to post this listing on my website - www.mshutch.com and share it with this site (and any others) if they'll provide a place to post it.

I've had a lot of success with getting non-readers to read and enjoy books, but it takes the right book I'd love to have a list of a few hundred books that would fit the bill. I also see people asking for recommendations regularly, so we need a resource that we can just send people to.

What I'm looking for are the novels the kids love, and the ones we love. The letters are just a 'content' and difficulty guideline. I ask for a description b/c that will help teachers guide the kids toward books that will interest them. The link will help kids and teachers find out more about the book if they're not sure. If it seems like I'm being picky, sorry, but I need a consistent format in order to make this work.

If anyone has any ideas about changing the format or anything that would be helpful, please reply here or send me a private message. My email address is ( gmail.com @ mshutch ) please reverse that, and remove the spaces. I broke it up so the web spiders won't find and spam me

Please use this format to submit:

This is the story of a boy who lives in a world that limits the size of families. Two children are allowed, but Luke's parents already had their two when he was born. For his entire life, Luke has never met another person besides his two brothers and his parents. This is an exciting *easy* read.
