    The End by Lemony Snicket

Has anyone else read this last book?

No, but one of my students is reading it now.

    I want SPOILERS!

To be honest, I don't want to have to read it. Can you just tell me how the whole thing ends? I quit reading them on book 4 or 5, having had enough of the "nothing good will ever happen ever again" scenario.

Do the kids die, become slaves, become corrupt partners of Olaf, live out their lives in poverty and misery, or do they finally grow up and take control of their lives?

Give the pupils something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking; learning naturally results. -- John Dewey
