Hello everyone, I'm back...

Currently I am struggling with something that would otherwise be cake. I have been given the freedom to do whatever I please in a classroom as part of one of my courses. I have been placed in a 5th grade classroom in which I am to concentrate on Language Arts/Reading. I spoke to the teacher to see what she would like me to do, she only said that she would like me to integrate multiculturism in the unit plan.

Here's the hard part, I am wanting to have a book (or a series of short books) that I will be able to read to the class and relate a skill (writing, reading comprehension, etc) after the reading. I am not able to find anything on the internet or the library that has these requirements. Am I missing any important websites? Ideas?
