I am a first year teacher in an inner city school. I have been teaching high school biology and algebra but next week I am going to be taking over one of the MDS classrooms. Their has not been a teacher in the classroom for most of the year. It has been staffed by teachers covering during their preps and substitutes so there is not a routine in place. I am really excited about it but I feel completely unprepared. At this time I don't have any information about the specific needs of the students in the class but I was hoping for some general advice such as resources, types of activities, typical daily schedule, etc.
