I am currently a high school special education teacher in Philadelphia, PA but am planning on moving within the state. I am going to be looking for an elementary special education position. I see that some schools say that to apply for a special ed. position they want both eled. and sped. certification. I am certified in Special Ed. Does it benefit me to take the Elementary Education praxis? I don't think passing it makes me certified in Eled. I think I am already highly qualified to teach elementary special education. Thanks for any help/advice.
