What are classes like in college?

Hi! I was just curious about the classes that I will be taking and what they are like. Right now I'm getting all my general classes out of the way at a local community college and then transferring to a four year school. I looked at web sites to see what types of classes you must take but I didn't really get too much info. Will I take classes where we learn how to make lesson plans and introduce new concepts to students and how to discipline (although I am getting GREAT experience with discipline at the daycare I'm working at). Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

There are classes that will teach you how to plan lessons. I found that the program I followed taught little to no classroom management skills, which is quite odd since that is perhaps the most important part of being an effective teacher.

I'd recommend Harry Wong's book "The First Days of School". Buy it, read it, and refer back to it whenever you have problems.
I've heard that four out of every three people have trouble with fractions.
