We had "back to school night" on Thursday. At work until 8:00. Our first middle school social event (retro rollerblading) on Friday. At work until 7:00 last night.

The year has started smoothly. Everything is going well, although I'm in overload already with meetings. I was out a half day this week with a district meeting, and will be out another day this month and 4 full days in October. I've attended 3 IEPs already, and have another 3 scheduled before the end of September.

Our Friday schedule is a tangled mess, and likely to be so for some time to come. That's a whole post in itself.

Still, the kids are doing great, and that's what counts.

I slept 3 hours late this morning, and I brought home a crate of paperwork that didn't get done after school on Thursday and Friday.

What were we thinking, tacking the social on to the night after bts? 8O
