any people switch from corporate america to teaching?

Just wondering if anyone made the switch from a nine to five job to teaching. If so, are you happy with the switch? Do you wish you could go back to corporate? Is there too much of a work load in teaching or do you find the time off compensates for that? Any input would be great.

OK - this is not quite what your looking for but still.
I did go from Kindergarten to school 8 years ago. And - even thogh I love my work I have some ideas that most teachers hate to hear:
    A) We have too much time off.
    B) I make too much money !

Naturally - this is stirring up a hornets nest - but I'll explain these attitudes on my behalf.
    A) Coming from a lifetime of 07.00 to 17.00 days (They often were that long )
I find that : The small environment, the staff, the children were easier to relate to than 1000 students. And the pace was slower, the demands fewer etc.
    B) Working as I did in kindergarten I made 2\3 of what I do today - and I did find the work just as important.- I did work 600 hours longer pr. year (48 weeks)

Still - I have settled down today - and my last 10 years will be spent as a firstgrade-teacher and webmaster.

But I DO miss kindergarten. Mainly the freedom to stay outdoors as Llong as I wanted.
