I have two weeks until I complete my Masters of Arts in Education. I have unlicensed experience in a classroom and various experience as a Substitute teacher. I am presented with an opportunity to jump into a PhD program but I'm not sure what the immediate benefit would be. I'm not in a rush because I'm 29 but I feel I can complete this last degree within the next 3 1/2 yrs. I've noticed whenever I interviewed the principals have been talking up me qualifying to be an administrator but I like the kids and the classroom.
I need a little advice about the Pros and Cons of a First year Licensed teacher in a PhD program.
