    Hello!

    Hi,
I am really new at this. I am a computer user but I have never communicated with individual I do not know on the computer. I do not know all the details of newsgroups, etc. However, I do know I am an innovative educator interested in new ideas and I think that many times the BEST ideas come from outside your normal network of individuals.

One of the best things I have ever done in my life is apply to the Woodrow Wilson Foundation to participate in a Biology Institute. This happened in 1996. Surprise, surprise I was accepted. Anyway, I am still wondering how I was accepted because it was a chance to network with outstanding science educators from all over the United States. I am still in very close contact with many of them. So the long and the short of it is if your are interested in the following I would love to talk to you:
    ...interactive science activities
    ...formal verses informal education
...anything in the area of science
    ...any grade level

I might also mention I am now an educational consultant at a science center but I have just come out of the classroom teaching high school biology honors, regular level biology and Biology AP.

On a personal note just FYI because a picture is worth a thousand words, I have attached a picture below. I am holding a Hawaiian grapefruit and it was taken in Hilo, Hawaii. The Big Island of the Hawaii is one of my most favorite places in the world.

The red hat is my trademark. When I've met online teacher chatters face-t0-face they know me because of my hat Nice to "meet" you.
