    homework used effectively

I am a student in year 9, I find homework immpossible to focus on until the last moment.

I believe this is because my teachers in primary school gave us weekly homework that i never completed until the last day although they could be done in 10 minutes.

The homework gradually got bigger until this happend with important projects.

By High school it has become something i just forget about.

I would like to think teachers are giving homework to help our organisational skills but homework ruined mine. It would be good if perhaps teachers told kids the benefiets of doing homework early/rewarded those who did before it plagues other children.

I came across his site while i was looking for help on focusing on homework tasks as i currently have an overdue project that the teacher has extended until monday for me, an assignment i just submitted today when it was due yesterday, an assignment due on monday and about 2 that have been overdue for a while.
I also konw there is another assignment due on monday but i cannot remember what it is, i hope giving some insight may help other students in the near future.

but i cannot remember what it is,
If you have trouble remembering, write down what it is, when it is due, and what you need to do to complete it. Nobody is perfect, and even the people with the best memory will have to do this or something like it at some point.

I teach 9th graders, so I'll tell you what I would tell mine. It is YOUR responsibility to succeed, no one elses. If you are not getting things done on time, then it is up to you to change that. Not me, not your parents, not your buddies. You. I know that is harsh sounding, but that is simply the way it is- nothing to like or not like about it. If you want to perform better, you have to be the one to do it. And you can- all you have to do is want to, and then act on what you want.

Actually, most do it to help their students practice (in olden times they were called exercises) with information that is to be learned. Hope that helps you out some.
