I have been a high school teacher for nine years. I am writing an article for teaching/education magazines. The premise is "10 Things All Teachers MUST Know...that they do NOT teach you in your credential program!"
The main audience would be new teachers and teachers-in-training to warn them about realities of teaching so they won't have to learn the hard way (like I did).
A secondary audience could be teacher training programs to broaden their curriculum and better prepare teachers for tackling the second toughest job in the world-- next to being a parent.
I will be grateful for any specifics you contribute that I can include among the top 10 items in the article. P.S. I won't include any names, just general narratives. Thanks very much in advance.
