    RE: Interview questions

WOOH! Got my first job interview - tomorrow morning at 9am! EEK!

What kind of questions can I expect at an interview? My teacher at uni has given me a list, but I was wondering what other questions are asked of teachers applying for a job?

Ok. I'm off now to swot some impressive sounding answers! Hee hee.

    Think of me!!!

I don't know what questions you have, but here are a few my son said he was asked on his interviews.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

How would you integrate technology into the curriculum?

    Explain your classroom management plan.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

I heard this on every interview I ever went on:

If I were to walk into your classroom at any given time what would I see happening?

How would you handle (such-n-such disipline) situation?

How would do you plan to incorporate manipulatives in math?

AND the technology question that wag mentioned.

    Good luck!

Well that was the strangest interview I've EVER had!

We went for a walk around the school grounds and had a chat, which was quite nice. I learnt about the school etc. Then we met up with the HOD of English and I chatted with her, while the principal went and read over my associate reports from my placements. THEN (this was funny) the HOD and I broke into the English resource room (well, we had keys, but the alarm was on!!) and had to run out again fast!

I was a little disappointed becaue I had studied "interview type questions" and came up with some nice sounding responses which I didn't get to use! Hee hee

Anyways, the principal said he would phone me on Tuesday or Wednesday to tell me how it goes.

I kinda got the impressoin they were looking for a more experienced teacher though.

Ah well, at least the first scary interview is over and done with!!

    Thanks for all your help!
