    Student teaching

I'm nearly finished with my masters program and I have the opportunity to go and do a part of my student teaching abroad. I'm going to do 7 weeks in the US and the other 7 in Brasil.

For those that have student teaching experience, is it better to do it in the fall (September) when all the students are new or is it just as safe going in the spring.

I've always heard it's better to do it in the fall if you can, since students aren't yet sick of school. However, going in the spring has its advantages too; the students are familiar with the routines the teacher has set up.
