When do I start looking for a Teaching job?

Im still a student.I' d like to know if I have to wait till I graduate to start applying for jobs.Does the Board Of Education require you to submit a copy of your diploma during the time you apply?

You should start looking ASAP. I applied to jobs before I had my license; the education department secretary at my school wrote a letter stating that I had completed all the requirements for certification and my application was being processed. As long as you will be certified by the time you start teaching, you can apply for and accept jobs.

Yeah. Start looking as soon as possible. I got my position in October - the course finished in December. It was so nice to be able to sit back while classmates were panicking about jobs knowing I had one. It also gave me more focus for the last two months of study.
I dont know about overseas, but in NZ all teaching jobs have to be gazetted. www.edgazette.govt.nz its a good place to start if you want to work in a school.
