Creating an interactive online physics curriculum

    Hello to all,

I am full- time science teacher attempting to create a free online physics curricullum that contains video presentations, self-graded study guides, and downloadable classroom activities and lesson plans. I am working with a small group of teachers here on the southside of Chicago but would love to be a part of an online forum of innovative educators to create a website that would be an asset to any physics classroom.

Are there many science teachers in this forum who would also like to collaborate in creating an exciting and resourceful physics curricullum to share with others?

    Sincerely,

    Brendan Noon

    Actionscript Advice

    Hi Phil,

I checked out you're goalfinder site (I'm assuming you take part in it's developement) It's very nice.

I too am designing flash animated presentations for my students to better understand science. I've just finished a few books on using actionscript to create web based video games and have begun designing interacive science activities similar to:

of course writing computer codes can become quite frustrating on occasion

Do you know much about using flash components and actionscript?

If so then I would definetly look forward to some advice or suggestions from time to time.

    sincerely,

Thanks for checking out the site

    Hi,
Yeah I work at goalfinder, I double up both as a flash animator and coder, my knowledge of programming is OK, I am using actionscript for interface, quizzes and simulations in our site. So am more experienced in these. Whatever you need let me know, though I am not a guru but then with Gods like actionscript.org and flashguru.com to rescue me from all crisis that I face during a day, I generally pretend to be one. 8)
The chemistry animations were good, they can make it more interactive and somewhere adding more explanation of the "what is happening inside" will help the students grap better, but nevertheless good approach.

Have you tried out interactive quizzes in classrooms? I feel they work best when explantions to answers are added instead of "Right" or wrong ?
