Family Fun Night/Community Night

I would like to read your ideas! I teach 8th graders. I am doing a Family Fun Physical Science night. Later, I am also hosting a community night about coal - a major resource in our area. I have a few ideas, but I would like to hear some fresh ideas that other teachers do at these events. All ideas are appreciated! :roll:

I recently coordinated our Family Math Nite for my school that is Pre-K through 8th. I used the AIMS Mini-Metric Olympics unit. It was a hit with all grades and even the adults. Good Luck!
