Looking for honest feedback on this one:

GM has created an educational web site for students in grades K-12. There's a section that offers free lesson plans. There's games for the kids, and informational articles with video clips, Flash interactive animations, and lots of photos. A really cool feature is the fuel cell interactive, which is a step-by-step discussion of how a fuel cell works, including the chemical reaction of combining a hydrogen molecule with oxygen to create energy. (Are science teachers talking about fuel cells?)

What I want to know is this -- is this site useful to students? Is this something that would be useful in the classroom? How about as an extension for homework assignments or research projects?

I think the team realizes that kids, in their free time, would prefer to visit nick.com, lego.com, or any other non-educational game site. However, is this engaging enough to be useful outside of recreational surfing?

Will you please evaluate the usefulness of this site?
