Hey Everyone

I am a student teacher and I need some help with lesson planning.

I am currently working on the Rocks and Minerals unit (grade 3 science curriculum for Alberta).

I can find lots of material on the topic but I am having difficulties coming up with a creative performance task/activity that can be incorporated into the classroom. I want to come up with something other than the usual "everyone bring a rock into class and we will classify it"

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!
