Nah, it's not hard knowing more than the students. I do keep away from the political talk in my classroom, and what is on occasion difficult is dealing with the comments a student makes reflecting their parent's thought. I will always respond with "That is a good question for your parents!" if it is a sticky wicket.

I think I might have that problem when I'm a teacher. Good thing I'm teaching math/science.I could easily get into political debates with just about everyone I know, and it takes a lot of will power on my part to stop myself. Haha.
