I am currently enrolled in an alternative certification program in the state of Texas. I have finished all of my coursework and am now applying to school districts for my teaching internship next year. There are several questions on one districts application that I would like some input on. I want to make sure that I am wording my answers correctly.
1.Describe how you will promote sensitivity to racial, cultural, religious, and ethnic differences in your position.
2.What are your three most important reasons for wanting to work with students in this district?
3.What three things would you most want to know about the students with whom you will work?
Thank you in advance,
Michael

sorry....that may help....LOL
1. I will foster an environment of respect and tolerance of others. I will teach my students that diversity is positive and each of them is unique and adds something special to our learning environment.
2.
1. The reputation of XYZ (don't want to post here) ISD.
2. I am eager to teach and help students in the (xyz) ISD reach their maximum potential and succeed in school.
3. To gain valuable teaching experience.
3. This is the one I am drawing a blank on how to word. Obviously I want to know about their previous IEP....maybe home situation? (or is that not good to say)......level of functionality?? PLEASE HELP.......I just want to come across the right way...there are a lot of questions on the application...these are just the three I am wanting some input on
