    Ameriquest

I didn't get much response on that "other site" when I asked, so I thought I would try here.

Anyone have any experience with Ameriquest, a mortgage company?

My recent medical trauma (knee surgery) has piled up some considerable medical bills (our insurance in North Carolina is pitiful) and that, coupled with some other past debts, is about to sink me.

I've already been on line and done some research and have uncovered some disquieting things. I pointed that out to the counselor but he claimed that since Ameriquest is so big, that some complaints are bound to take place. Not sure what to think...

I answered you in the "other site", but I'll do it here too.

We called Ameriquest, talked to a very nice person on the phone, and got absolutely no where with them. They were not at all good with any kind of followup.

Our current mortage holder is giving us a great deal on refinanicing - we're going to save $400.00 dollars a month + cut some time of the mortage.

Maybe check with your mortage holder?????

I don't have any experience with Ameriquest, but the last two times we refinanced, we found excellent rates at a small local mortgage company/broker in the area. They somehow work with larger mortgage companies. I had called around about mortgage rates and asked people I knew. That's how I found the people I went through.

I don't know where you are in the process or if you have local brokers in your area. It's just something else to think about. (Yeah, I know that can be both good and bad! More choices and decisions! :? :?
