Attention techie people! I need DVD recorder help.

I recorded 6 hours of programming for an aquaintance in
Thailand as a favor. She wrote me back to tell me that
the disk was blank and that I should have checked it
before I sent it to her. Well, I did check it, and it
worked prefectly. Since I DO know that DVD-R/DVD+R disks
aren't compatible with all DVD players, I suggested that
she try it in another player. (I know that they play in
my recorder here and player at work, but don't work on my
player at home and computer DVD player.)

Today I get an "ah-ha" mail because her friend says that
it doesn't LOOK recorded and the player says "no disk".

Well, it doesn't "look" recorded because it's completely
full, so the "recording notches" aren't readily noticeable
like they are in a partically recorded disk. Plus, "no
disk" is the message that one gets when using one in a
    player that can't read DVD-R/DVD+R.

    Is there something I'm overlooking?

It bothers me that she thinks that I sent her a blank disk
    on purpose.

Any help from DVD recording experts would be appreciated!

Never seen the "close out" option on this machine, but I know what you're talking about because I do that on music CD's so I can play them on my regular CD player.

    I'll go investigate.

    Thanks for the tip!

I do know that her machine is a standard DVD player.
