    Bad Omen

So . . . do you think the 30+ buzzards circling our building is a bad omen?

Now, we ARE right across he street from the landfill, but the buzzards were at OUR building, not the landfill today. Hmmmmm. . .

Just look up with your mouth closed, and you might wear a hat.

Better the buzzards over your building than the bat in our church, yet again. 8O

The year I had a bad omen

I never get sick, ever. In six years I've had maybe 4 sick days, all in the first two years. In my fourth year, shortly after the first day of school let out, I became deathly ill (yes, I'm exaggerating). I won't give you details, but suffice to say I hadn't been that sick since an unfortunate New Year's Eve soiree that involved far too many kamikaze shots.

That year was the worst teaching year I've ever had. Ever. My first year wasn't as bad as that year. It was so bad I debated quitting. If I ever get that sick again on the first day of the year, I'm sending my resignation in on the second day of school. :P

Guess somebody didn't put the formerly disruptive student into the landfill.
