    beware vonage

Just a word of warning to all my friends in cyberspace.

Stay away from Vonage. I have been on the phone for nearly an hour, trying desperately to discontinue my Vonage account. It has taken me great effort just to reach a living, breathing person and now that I have reached this person, she is giving me the supreme run around, asking me legions of questions, trying every tactic she can to keep me with Vonage. Now, she has told me that if I disconnect, I must pay a disconnect fee of $85. This is the very first and only time I have ever heard this. I have had the service for over a year.

Don't fall for all those promises and guarantees. Vonage will latch onto you and not let go.

They promise big savings. I was told it would cost me $24. In actuality, my monthly bill is over $60.

They're trying once again to coerce me into staying, pointing out that I won't have to pay that disconnect fee if I just put my account on hold. these people are "good."

    Stay away!!!!

I appreciate hearing this. I was thinking of trying Vonnage, but I don't want that kind of nonsence should I change my mind.
