The 22nd Annual Microcomputers in Education Conference (MEC), the Southwest's largest technology in education event, will be held March 11-13 at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.
Apple Computer and the Microcomputers in Education Conference are offering two low-cost workshops in March for educators and others interested in learning the latest digital media software.
These one-day, intensive workshops focus on strategies and techniques to integrate digital media in a classroom setting. Participants will earn In-service Continuing Credit Hours applicable to the renewal of their teaching certificate.
DIGITAL MOVIES FOR ALL: USING IMOVIE IN THE CLASSROOM
Participants will make their own movies in this eight-hour workshop. Hands-on training for teachers of all grade levels using iMovie and digital video cameras is designed to help hone digital creation skills and refresh ideas about where and when technology makes the best sense in supporting instruction.
ADVANCED DIGITAL FILM-MAKING: FINAL CUT PRO FOR MERE MORTALS
In a single eight-hour course, learn the basics of digital filmmaking with advanced tools in Final Cut Pro. This accelerated introductory course will get you on your way to using advanced techniques, previously only available to professionals with very expensive equipment.
