    Earthquake

So, anybody else feel the earthquake this morning?

I thought I was dreaming. Something woke me up before dawn this morning, and I sat up in bed trying to figure out what it was. I felt like I was moving, but I wasn't . . . neither was DH . . . and I could hear my glasses and the lamp on the bedside table rattling. There were a few other odd noises, too . . . nothing major, just not normal.

I didn't find out until I go to work that there had been an earthquake in Illinois. At least I wasn't dreaming or imagining things.

We don't get that many earthquakes around here . . . three in my lifetime. It gave the kids something to talk about today . . . like they needed anything else to liven them up.

Seeing as old doggie got me up for our 2:30 am date, I slept through that occurrence, although I was about 260 miles from the epicenter. I did notice the one we had in the late '90's. Hmmm, the West Coast or the Midwest? Usually we worry about the tornadoes.
