    EGADS!!!!

Well, I get home from work today, get the newspaper from the mailbox, and you'll never guess the headline!

    8O ops:

OK. . . so it's not like I didn't KNOW about it, but they'd kept it pretty hush-hush for a week. Of course, everyone in the school knew--small school, big grapevine--but I'd not heard a PEEP from the general public.

I can't wait to see the paper tomorrow. We have two local weekly papers, and the one tomorrow is the major paper. I haven't gotten any calls from anybody, so I'm assuming it's not made it to the regional paper or the TV news. . . yet anyway.

Geez. . . and the offender hasn't even been with us very long. She was hired well after the start of the school year--grant coordinator. Guess this isn't going to help our public image!!

    Yes. . . my school.

Her office is--or WAS--right across the hall from my classroom to boot!

Yep, she's the one who spawned my big vent on here about two weeks ago. Maybe that's been the problem all along. I can be completely clueless sometimes.

Good night! It does indeed makes you wonder if this has been the problem with her.

In our district of only 5 schools....

.....they've managed to keep a teacher's suspension and ongoing investigation really hush-hush. He's the teacher who replaced Son #1 when he took a non-teaching job. I'm dying to know the details, but it is really under wraps. All we know is that our sub caller/permanent sub has been teaching his classes at the high school and that she's going crazy trying to teach (no lesson plans) AND keep track of hiring subs. Karen

Y'know, I could see a stressed-out, burnt out teacher going to work drunk...but a testing coordinator? Sheesh. Dying under the wheels of the gravy train.......

Well, Good Grant (as my grandmother says)!

I have no idea what it means but she's from the mountain foothills and she says it when she's really shocked. Well Good Grant!

I'm real confused about one thing, which I shall address after this brief disclaimer:

I do not endorse drinking on the job. I do not think anyone should arrive to work or show up at their workplace drunk. Especially at 9:30 in the AM. I do think the Prince should have sent her home end of disclaimer

What the Sam Hill did the Prince call the Cops for? Was it she that was responsible for the crash the Police were investigating? Or was that unrelated? If so, why the 'Fuzz? Was she belligerent and refusing to go home? Was she picking fights or crying on the front desk?

I'm confused......and imagine you must be bewildered, Beth-- how bizarre!!

    /loves a good disclaimer
