    Half day!!

We had conferences until 8:00 last night, so had a half day today. It was a COGS day, so I sat with the darlin's who couldn't watch the movie in the gym this morning. I'm on the SIP committee, so got to spend that time taking numbers off the school report card and putting it on another form. Of course, both are state forms. I don't know why they couldn't compile the numbers themselves. Anyway, we have to have 5 years of report card information. The first state report cards have very little information about subgroups, but I swear the latest one had a subgroup for everything, including nosepickers! I got home at 1:00 and am heading to the Mitsubishi dealership to get my car radio fixed. If you own a Mitsubishi, don't let your battery go dead!! I put the code card somewhere safe. It's still safe!!! Just don't know where. So this little fiasco is going to cost me about 60 bucks! Better get going. Karen

I was wondering the same thing.

Aren't those category things amazing? This year I noticed on our state tests that they had a category for Homeless. Isn't that sad?

    COGS Day

Celebrating Our Great Students. We're the Cogs (Community of Genoa Schools). Anyway, students who have had no detentions or suspensions during a set time period are rewarded with various activities. This group is so lazy, they didn't raise enough money during the all school fundraiser to actually go somewhere. So we showed a movie in the gym and they got to bring their own treats. We've gone bowling, skating, etc. with other groups. I had about 17 kids out of the 120 in the class. Usually there are only 4 or 5 who don't get to go. We do COGS days about once a quarter. Hope this helps. Karen
