    Hello from Ohio

    Hi, I'm new to the state, and new to teaching as well. I grew up in Western PA, and just moved to Columbus, Ohio. I am in the middle of my first year of teaching Pre-K. I have 15 four-year-olds. I do love my job. I feel lost at many times. But, as time goes by, I am feeling a bit more secure.

    Please say hello, especially if you're in the Early Childhood field, or from PA or Ohio.

    HI! Don't feel lost--I have been teaching for 29 years, and I am teaching first grade for the first time. I feel that way too. We just some more experience which comes from doing your best each day. Your confidence will grow. Just take one day at a time and enjoy the kids!

    Welcome to our site!

    So you work with 15 pre-K kids? Wow!

    I hope you'll share your experiences at the New Teachers' Place. I'm an elementary teacher myself - but if memory serves, Teacher Focus has a few members who teach pre-K. If you post your questions in the New Teachers' Place and perhaps the "Other Subject Related" forum, hopefully you'll get some good constructive advice.
