I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I am finally succumbing to a fullfledged meltdown, and hubby is not here to listen or hold me while I cry. So I try calling my SIL, and all circuits are busy. Finally get through, and they are just sitting down to eat at 9:00 PM. I am a grown woman and should just be able to put things in their proper perspective. Occasionally, I just want to be a little girl, and now is one of those times.
Wonder if we can pull off a sisters-in law getaway with our schedules and sickness? Last year we did as I really needed one. On one hand, I am ahead of the game as I needed it in January and I have lasted longer this year. On the other hand, I am the one who appears to be the needy soul. Sorry for my whining.

Hey, we all need a good "whine" (or is it "wine" ) every now and then. And we all know the feeling - just sorry you are going through it! Particularly crabby day here, as well - maybe something in the air???![]()

That always helps. Sorry to be a nuisance. If something is in the air, at least it is not pregnancy. :?

Oh Bananas what could be so bad that thinking about Mel (Gibson, not the poster here) couldn't cheer you up? Take a hot bath and snuggle up with your doggie (uh, not in the bath tho, after it), drink some hot chocolate. Shoot, eat some chocolate!

Well... ummm... sorry about your situation Bananas. I wish I could also say I had a crappy day to cheer you up but....
As I was leaving the mall earlier today I found a $10 bill blowing around on the ground. After you find $10 just blowing around on the ground like that it's hard not to check every piece of paper in the lot looking for the motherlode.
I also collected my $50 from winning the Super Bowl pool at work! I bought everyone at work lunch and was an instant hero!
I also heard from a friend I haven't heard from in over 20 years! We had some good times together and will probably get together again soon!
Just found out my landlord is going to get me my new carpet for my apartment!
The boss's wife is taking two days off work!!! But it counts as vacation days for the rest of us.
Hope things turn around for me. Misery loves company.

I wish I was closer than four hours away Banannas. I knew you've been having a tough time but I didn't realize how tough until I read your post on the other board.
I'll be in WI Dells for the next two days. Steal away and join me.
Mel
Sorry Bananas.I hope things get better soon.
Bananas, sorry to hear you are having a rough day. We are all entitled to those sometimes! It's hard when you are feeling overwhelmed. I've been feeling that way myself lately and am approaching your point.
Don't apologize for letting us know how you feel. You have to release somehow, and that's one thing I hope we are all here for ---to vent, to listen, and to support each other.
I hope you get your weekend away. I know I could use one!
How about Rockford somewhere? We can cry on each other's shoulder! Conferences tomorrow and I'm NOT ready after being away at aconference until last night. Son #1 is being a crab for some reason. Hubby's dad came home with official diagnosis of dementia. They have a bed for him in a nursing home, but we want to keep him home as long as possible. Saint Janet (SIL) lives with them and takes care of her folks. Long story there! We won't even go into my dad's Huntington's disease. Anyhoo, have you ever been to Lone Star or one of the other fine eateries in Rockford? Karen
