    I broke my toe!!!!! :(

And I don't even have a cool story to say how I did it- It's actually quite shameful...

I was hanging out the washing, and I chased my little sister with my Dad's boxer shorts... and tripped over the concrete edge. ops:

    It's not funny!!!

Well...the chasing part with flapping boxers is kind of funny :-)

I'm sorry you hurt your toe though. For such a small appendage I know there's plenty of pain. I don't want to discourage you but in my experience it hurts for a long time. The best thing you can do is take care of yourself and not overdo with walking or standing before the healing is done.

    Take care.

OMG sushi!!! 8O Which one did you break? I broke the pinky toe on my left foot a few summers ago and it HURT! Of course, my mom didn't think I had REALLY broken it, since I had only hit it on the corner of the kitchen cabinets, so she wouldn't let me go to the hospital. Then a few days later, my entire foot was purple! I ended up limping around for weeks (and had swollen purple feet in my HS senior pictures! lol).

Hugs to you and I hope you feel better soon!! (((((((((((((sushi))))))))))))))

I've heard broken toes really hurt! My husband broke one of his toes years ago. He hit it on the edge of the sofa while walking through the house in the dark. It turned purple immediately. He didn't go to the hospital because he didn't figure there was much they could do for it anyway. It looks & feels fine now, but it doesn't bend anymore!

Hope you make a quick recovery!

Your broken toe story is better than when I broke mine. WHen I broke it I was getting out of bed. Yes, getting out of bed. That was embarassing. Chasing someone with boxers is kind of funny.

Good luck. It sure does hurt for a while and there is nothing they can do except tape it to the one next to it and that was more annoying than the pain.

    Ouch!

There isn't much that can be done for the baby broken toes. Is that the toe you broke? Hope it feels better and that you have strapped a few toes up.

The first time I broke my toe, I was a senior in high school. We were at church for a youth group activity, and hubby and I were either dating or engaged. I took my shoes off and was playing Duck, Duck, Goose with partners. Little Steve stepped on my toe and broke it. Oooey! So, for graduation, I was seated in the very last row for whatever reason, right next to my best girlfriend. She had stubbed her toe and was limping right along, or should I say left along, with me. We had to march up to the front of the gymnasium twice. Once to sing with the a Capella Choir, and to receive our diplomas. My girlfriend was a traitor, though. Hers got better after a few days and she lost her limp. :?

I broke a toe also but I can't rememebr anything about it except that it was not a big toe. I would liek to think I broke it kicking my big brother who teased me but it was probably something not worth mentioning. lol No wonder I have forgotten the details.

PS Sushi, hope it heals fast and you can get around good enough to enjoy your summer vacation and Christmas.

It seems that toes are quite easy to break! I guess this is a good reason to wear fluffy slippers everywhere for "toe protection"!!! Hee hee
