I take 8th graders to the outerbanks this week

I never know whether to dread or look forward to this trip. It's always a lot of fun, but it's always a ton of work.

We'll be gone Wednesday (early) to Friday (late).

You are one brave woman! But you are right. 8th graders can be a lot of fun or a real pain in the patooty. I hope the weather cooperates.

I'm so jealous! Still about 6 weeks til my trip! Wave to our rental house in South Nags Head if you are taking the kids to the Bodie Island lighthouse! Have a great time!

    Hi Brave Bitsy-
Where do you stay when you go there? What do the kids do during the trip?

Here is our agenda -- I hope. I'd planned to get it on the webpage this weekend, but the site is not accessible.

We used to stay at a really crummy hotel the first night because it was on the beach. BUT it was so dangerous with balconies and all. We moved to the Holiday Inn Express at Kitty Hawk for the first night and have to walk a couple of blocks to the beach.

    Here's come old pix.

    Holy moly.
I don't know whether to be envious of such a great trip or thankful that I'm not organizing it. I'll go with envious.

Have a great time and be safe.

Finally, the website came back up and I could make a page for the trip. I hope to get pictures up each night as we go.

Don't be envious Mary -- Think about how tiring it will all be

    Thinking about you

I dragged my body out of bed ever so slowly and reluctantly this morning. Dog was whining at the door being extra ready to start his day even before me, which is unusual. He is an old dog; when will he get that idea? I got to thinking about you and your trip with all of those kids at the end of the week at the end of the year.

Hope all is going well and that you are enjoying yourself. In the meantime, all of the IEP meetings and paperwork are just blurring together before my eyes.
