Need your input: Teacher Focus newsletter

We will be publishing new online Teacher Focus newsletter. Would you like to contribute? In general, what, from your point of view, should be included in this newsletter? You can either post your replies or e-mail me at [email:3c5fvg7d]lucy@teacherfocus.com[/email:3c5fvg7d].
Your ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Lucy

I think some really biting editorials would help. An article on standardized testing, the advantages or disadvantages of retention, the use of corporal punishment, inequitable funding between urban, suburban, and rural schools, and so forth - with links to the site so people could post their responses would help to generate activity.

Question: Who is this newsletter for? The members? If it's for members only, the articles would be redundant don't you think? And if it's not just for members, how would you go about mailing it? And would this then be considered SPAM?

Speaking for myself - the only SPAM I really like is the type that comes in those little cans in the supermarket. I eat them fried with eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast. (You can never have too much cholesterol in your diet - heh-heh-heh).

    Re input

As far as I see it - the need for such a newsletter is growing day by day.
Meaning : the first newsletter would have to contain a guide on how to navigate the site. This is becoming a difficult territory .
The letter also ought to give a summary of the different forums - (written by the moderators??)
Anyhow - what ever is writen must be short, punctuated, and serious!
Why serious ? Because I have a feeling that humor - all though I love this as a tool -is not the best way to start out the newsletter. Remember - Many subscribers are probably looking for seriousness.
Initially - the newsletter should be narrowed down to just a handful of elements.
Later on there is a chance to publish these with focus on certain topics. But - as I see it - we need to begin with a carefully designed schedule.

Why not let the newsletter grow as we go ?-
Personally - Of course - a newsletter with the main focus on e.g. special edu. etc will be great - in due time.
