OK--Photos are cooperating now. Here's my Saturday project!

With the help of my mom & dad, Saturday I managed to. . .

. . . weed all my perennial beds.

. . . put boxes & mulch around my three smallest trees.

. . . trim droopy/dead limbs from the cedar trees and put out my window boxes. I learned to use a pole saw. I didn't drop any limbs on my head, either, although I did get some sawdust in my eye.

    . . . plant a hosta & fern shade bed.

. . . cage my tomatoes. There is also an eggplant in there. The green beans are just starting to come up, so you can't see them.

. . . and the neighbor's dog hung around, too. This is the one that the owners ignore, so he stays with me & the other neighbor most all the time. He had to pee on all the flowers Mom brought over because my dog (who lives with Mom & Dad) sleeps in them all the time. . . and probably pees on them plenty, too.

And where was DH during all this fun? He was inside staying out of the way. He's great at cutting grass and picking up tree limbs, but he's not a handyman nor a gardener. We have a deal. . . I don't tell him how mow the yard or play guitar and he doesn't tell me how to plant flowers or teach classes.

Not sure what you did there, but there are no photos showing in your code either-- did you just try to paste them into the message form? Or did you try to copy URLs?

In any event-- i believe you, and am tired thinking about it....

I was uploading the pictures while I was typing the message, and I planned to edit the message and add the photos. . . only there was an uploading error and they didn't upload completely.

 indeed. It sounds like a terrific weekend, technology notwithstanding!

Love the photos, Ima! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you did a fabulous job. Good idea for the box around the mulch, too. I need a mulch border, but hadn't thought of that. You were BUSY!!! Oh, and keep the dog if you can. What a cutie!

I see the pix too. Everything looks beautiful! I'm still not finished with my hallway putting the quarter rounds down and not totally finished in the bedroom. I got called into work yesterday and went in today. We started painting hubby's office and will finish it this Sat. morning.

I can see the pix, too, Ima, and the yard does look great.

I'm exhausted just reading about what you all have been doing.

I need to rest for a while -- after all, Bananas is counting on me to relax for her this weekend.
