Paulie,
Please don't remove your pictures! Not fair to all of us who love them!

Paulie,
I think the reason you are not seeing the edit is because of the large picture. It is causing the screen to be wide and the edit tab is scrolled to the right top ....
Just go to the site, scroll far to the right and you will see it at the top-right.
Can I call you and walk you through what we have been discussing?

Paulie-- for heaven sakes.... I like your photos, we all like your photos, I simply suggested that because this site stores everything, maybe you would consider scaling them down a tiny bit, or starting a collection in one thread, so that they could be enjoyed by everyone as much as they wanted. Lucy even offered to make you a Gallery.
Paulie, this is a community, and you are a member of it. I spoke only out consideration for EVERYone in this community, including the site owner who PAYS for the limited bandwidth we all enjoy for free, and without banner ads.
I did not ask you to take your pictures down, and I'm certain Lucy did not either- in fact you said you would do nothing until Lucy told you what her policy was. Instead, you seem to have gotten into a fit of pique and are pulling down all of your pictures, and punishing everyone, when it was only I who spoke.
This is NOT site where "anything goes!" This is a site where we all have accountibility to one another, by merit of having to sign our names for one thing. I am happy to be in a place where an opinion can be expressed and disagreed with and no one's head explodes (or whatever). Paulie, if you go back and read my post to you, you will know there was not a hint of acrimony or criticism-- I merely expressed that a little thinking/ discussion was in order. You have a duty as a member of this community to consider everyone's feelings here, and I charge you with that duty in asking you to think about what I said, think about what Lucy said, and let's brainstorm a win-win solution. I know there is one.
Stick up for yourself, Paulie--I am only one voice and I could well be wrong. I'm leaving this in your court, now, and won't contribute to the topic again unless asked.

Oh, dear!!! I don't know a bandwidth from a rock band, neither do I have a clue on how to resize photos, but I certainly was disappointed to see the pictures gone. Now I have to admit I would have liked to have seen the pictures a bit smaller so I could see the entire picture on my screen without scrolling. But I would have rather done that than gone back to no photos at all.

I like the photos, too, but because of their large size, I often don't get to see them because I'm using a dial-up connection and they don't load for me most of the time.Originally Posted by BeSeeLisa
Anytime I post photos, I have to scale them down just so I can upload them to photobucket without locking up my computer. I go into Windows explorer, right click on the photo I want to use, and click "resize photo". Then I just choose "small" or "compact".

Some of you keep blaming it on dial up. I have dial up and an iMac computer and I don't have any problems. Not even with the other poster's HUGE photos that still remain huge . . . I don't understand why Lisa had problems either . . . since she also has an iMac. I do know last year at school, they had a terribly slow SERVER and PC computers and it took forever for even just words to appear.
I spent the day deleting photos from my photobucket account and resizing some. The ones that I resized look pretty bad and I will not use them here. They were not HUGE to start with. I accidently used a couple winter ones that were huge and I learned, with Tom's help, to resize them. Thanks, Tom. The "complaints" came after I had resized my three bigger photos. That really hurt my feelings.
Thus, since everyone blames it on something that doesn't affect me, I have decided not to post anymore. I never meant to make anyone's computer server load slowly. To those that were nice to me, thank you. I was starting to enjoy this site a lot. I will just pray that any post I posted on will soon be a part of the past and no one will have to worry about being able to read threads here.
I find it hard to not be able to edit my typos and I make a lot of them so it will be better for me to just be a reader. I automatically type many words too fast and thus the typos that I am not allowed to fix anymore. It has taken me far too long to type this post today. If I missed fixing any typo, I am sorry.
If you read this far, thank you. I appreciate you overlooking how I messed up Lucy's site.

Paulie--this was never about blame or messing anything up-- it was about me cordially asking you to realize that as much as MOST of us love your pictures SOME of us might find it difficult to have pictures on every post.
Please note-- I like the pictures, I am on high speed, I was not affected, particularly, but, once again, I feel a responsibility to point out things that other people simply may not realize, such as Lucy's bandwidth being neither free nor limitless. It was never, ever intended as a rebuke. If you go back and read what I wrote, you can see that I never intended to chastise, only inform. No one wants you to stop posting, though I get the feeling you are saying you won't unless you can post how and what you want.
How could I have handled this differently? Said nothing, I guess, and let the issue resolve itself in dial-users avoiding the site and Lucy having to cope with eventual storage issues or traffic surcharges. Alternately, I could have sent you a private message or an email, but you know what? I think the result would have been exactly the same, except instead of trying to make me into the bad guy, without record of my words, people would have believed that "Lisa was mean to Paulie".
This is a very silly situation, blown completely out of proportion. Is it not possible for you to post with an OCCASIONAL pic, or with smaller pics? Does it HAVE to be all or nothing? Am I, nor anyone else, NEVER to make a remark of this nature, to allow errors made out of complete innocence go unremarked on, to avoid any possible injury or insult?
Post or don't, Paulie, but I hope you do. And if you do, I will try really hard not to make comments or replies to yours, unless they are couched in terms of glowing praise and adulation. I cannot believe you took my words to mean that you should tear down all your hard and beautiful work and never ever post again. A woman who can complete a marathon AND with a swollen knee is certainly tough enough to take some quietly and tactfully offered advice and decide whether or not she wants to follow it.
I'm not going to apologize, nor am I going to beg you to stay, but I do wish your feelings weren't hurt, and I do hope you continue to post.

I hope she comes back too, but I haven't seen anything that any of the rest of us wouldn't have said to each other.
IMHO, we are having one big conversation. Sometimes someone says have you tried this and the next person says Yes OR even no, I don't wanna.
