well, i know rebelnerd was a little extreme, but i don't think he should have been banned. we shouldn't ignore people just because we don't agree. we are teachers after all, and we should listen to the students if we expect them to listen to us.

What are you implying, that i'm in league with Rebelnerd? i can assure you that i'm not. I don't agree with him, I just think we shouldn't ban people just because we don't agree with them. 1st Amendment?
JohnBoy, I think we might be twins. I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'd also like to add that our dearly departed little friend's posts have been obliterated and have remained so since before this "newbie" joined.Originally Posted by JohnBoy

I could be wrong, but I tend to agree with the two of you. The voice used in the posts does not sound like that of a teacher. I believe that the same ideas would have been expressed differently if a teacher had posted it.

So? Just because I don't "sound" like a teacher doesn't mean i'm some crazy spammer kid!
Look, if we all start suspecting each other of being kids, this forum will turn into a new Red Scare. Apparently I had the bad luck of finding this site and registering just after Rebelnerd left, that doesn't mean i'm with him. We need to trust each other NOW.

Yes, really. Why are you all singling me out? Anybody here could be a kid, we need to try and find out who. I understand that. But ganging up on the new guy like a bunch of school bullies is NOT the way to do so.
Well, KRK15, trust takes some time and you've only got (at this point) less than 10 posts. Some of us have known each other for years.

Well if this is how you greet newcomers, i'm surprised anyone came here in the first place. It just seems unfair. I just wanted to be able to talk to teachers online, not be grilled about how many posts i have, how long i've been here, or whether i'm working with the kids. I'ts very annoying.
