    snoring husband help

My friend is at her last nerve on this.. her husband snores so loud and all night long she has to sleep in another room at the other side of the house with the door closed. She has told her husband he needs to get it checked out but he does nothing. She starts off in bed she says but about 1am the snoring gets so loud. Also she told me it sounds like he stops breathing and then lets out this one huge snore to wake himself up. She says hon be quiet and he snores louder. She is really getting tired of sleeping in another room. She says at times he leaves the bed and goes to the other room....lol

My husband used to do the same thing. When he was in college at Virginia Military Institute, they could hear him from several rooms away!

About three years ago I finally talked him into going to the doctor who gave him a referral to a sleep clinic. He has sleep apnea. They gave him a CPAP machine and he's been sleeping like a baby ever since (and so have I!!). It's nice to be able to sleep (I mean really sleep) in the same room with a former freight train (I swear that's what it sounded like!!) :-)

I work on having my hubby go to a sleep clinic also

I want him checked for sleep apnea so I have him around longer. Frankly, or Rogerly, I am envious of your friend.

My hubby snores in his sleep. He sings in his sleep while I remain awake trying to remember the name of the song and where it comes from. He kicks and whomps in his sleep. When it is church council night, or he is an agitated sleeper, I sleep with my back toward him. That is why I am enjoying having the dog sleep with me while hubby is out of the country. He does not snore.

I expect a good deep sleep tonight. For the third morning in a row, his alarm, which came with no directions, went off at 5:20 am. I unplugged it.

Sounds like apnea to me. He can get help if he wants it. He better want it before your friend decided to put a pillow over HIS head instead of over her ears!!!
