Geeze. I thought you had painted something yourself. I think your wording should have been different. I was looking for something YOU painted!!!!!!!And - thanks for letting me know about photobucket !

Perhaps you should have said that since you can use Photobucket now, you wanted to share a famous painting you admire. lol

Olav's English is so much better than my Norwegian, I'm inclined to give him a great deal of slack in his wording (as I know he would with me IF I knew a word of Norwegian). :wink:Originally Posted by Paulie

I am sorry, Olav.
I did not think of it as a slam towards your English. . . I thought you were teasing me. If you took it to be a slam/something bad or rude I apologize again. It never occured to me that it might be a "problem" because of it being a second language. Words are sometimes hard to understand because it is not like speaking in person. Be assured I was not making fun of your English.

Don't you worry - I am not easily offended !!!
Besides - I actually welcome aggravated assaults on my choice of words\ grammar\ syntax\ whatever...
That's one way of learning - is it not ?
I would - however -have liked to be the painter of "American Gothic" .
Have a great weekend !

I have a feeling that these words may sound too harsh .welcome aggravated assaults
OK : Maybe it should read: somewhat aggravated .. but .......
The only time my choice of words has put me in a "very warm place" was my remarks after the death of the last pope !
